Beautiful wine from Mont Ventoux

The vineyards at the foot of Mont Ventoux benefit from a unique phenomenon. Especially at night, it's considerably cooler at the summit than in the valley, and this cold air "falls" on the vineyards lower down.

This results in a slower and longer ripening period for the grapes. It seems paradoxical, but in a warm climate—such as in the Ventoux—a slower ripening process is extremely beneficial for preserving the freshness and aromatic power of the grapes.

The relative coolness preserves fruity aromas and prevents the wine from developing an overripe, overly candied aroma later on. The acidity, necessary for a balanced flavor, also remains better maintained under cooler conditions.

This is evident in the wines of the small Bon Remède, which combine aromas of fresh fruit with a full, ripe flavor and a pleasant freshness. This delicious dry white Ventoux, made from Rhône Roussanne (80%) and Grenache Blanc (20%) grapes, is a true charmer, both on its own and at the table!
