Tenuta Sauvignon Blanc

Special quality Sauvignon Blanc from the Northern Italian wine region of Alto-Adige. Expressive on the nose, with citrus and stone fruit aromas. Intense and full-bodied, with juicy acidity and stony minerality. Delicious with fish, shellfish and white meat.

Biodynamic and delicious from Manicor

With its fifty hectares of biodynamically processed vineyards near Lake Kaltern (Lago di Caldaro), wine producer Manincor belongs to the absolute top of Alto Adige in northern Italy. The region owes its reputation in particular to flawless white wines from one grape variety. Manincors Tannenberg, made from sauvignon blanc, is a great example of this.

The grapes for the Tannenberg come from Lieben Aich, a vineyard 300 meters above sea level with southwestern exposure. This superior location ensures optimal ripening. The bottom consists of volcanic rock with a top layer of loam, which gives the wine a mineral character. Once the grapes are pressed, they undergo a short soaking of the skins for more aroma and structure. After spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels, the wine matures on the yeasts for several months. This provides additional structure and complexity. This special sauvignon blanc is therefore not only aromatic and fresh, but also mouth-filling and with a beautiful mineral character.

To make the most of this complex wine, we advise you to decant the wine and serve it in large Burgundy glasses.
