Sao Miguel Madxa White

Madxa (pronounced "madsja") represents the new trend in Portugal. Winemaker Alexandre Relvas strongly believes in using indigenous Portuguese grapes, but he cultivates, harvests, and ferments them with contemporary insights and techniques. He is no longer bound by the traditions of "old" winemaking, nor by the boundaries of the regions of origin.

Big brother of the Segredos

Alexandre blends Madxa from wines of various origins. The white Madxa, for example, is partly sourced from the renowned Vinho Verde and Dão regions. This part of the wine contributes to its aromatic power and delightful freshness. For its juicy and ripe notes, Alexandre selects wines from warmer vineyards around Lisbon. The blend of Antão Vaz, Arinto, and Fernão Pires grapes is a great success and distinctive. It's a wonderful aperitif wine, but also pairs well with salads, fish, and chicken dishes.
