| Young, but also drinkable when matured |
Tasting note Liberalia
Original oak-aged Spanish red wine with intense aromas of vanilla, oak, sweet red fruit, and caramel. The palate is soft, smooth, and elegant. Delicious with a variety of rich meat dishes and poultry.
Description
Juan Antonio Fernández and his daughter, Béatriz, make one of the most attractive wines from the small Toro wine region near Salamanca in western Spain. With only about fifty producers, Toro has gained fame in the past decade for its powerful yet often tannic wines.
The Liberalia Cero is a different caliber, boasting not only power but also a great roundness. The secret behind this intense red wine, perfect for drinking young? Not only the aging but also the fermentation takes place in small, new American oak barrels. This new winemaking method, vinification intégrale, produces a superb blend of fruit roundness, aromatic intensity, and seductive oak notes. It's this small winery's most successful wine. Highly recommended.
