Description

Juan Antonio Fernández produces one of the most attractive wines from the small Toro, the wine region near Salamanca in western Spain. With only about fifty producers, Toro has gained renown over the past decade for its powerful but often tannic wines.

The Liberalia Cero is of a different caliber and, in addition to power, possesses great roundness. The secret behind this intense red wine that can be drunk young? Not only the aging but also the fermentation takes place in small, new oak barrels of American origin. This new method of winemaking—vinification intégrale—produces a wonderful blend of fruit, roundness, aromatic intensity, and seductive oak notes. It is the most successful wine from this small bodega. Highly recommended.
