Von Buhl Cabinet Draft Note
Fragrant and invigorating lightly sweet Riesling with an aroma of yellow fruit (peach) and floral nuances. The taste starts juicy and round with a touch of sweetness and finishes fresh and aromatic. Excellent with spicy oven-baked fish dishes or a chicken stew. Easily keeps for four to five years.
Description
Von Buhl is known for their dry Rieslings – 'dry wines for sweet people' is their motto for a reason. However, a Riesling assortment would not be complete without a good Kabinett.
Kabinett is the lightest category of German predicate wines. It is usually a slightly sweet wine with fresh acidity and a modest alcohol content. The Armand from Reichsrat von Buhl is no exception.
The Riesling grapes are organically grown and sourced from vineyards surrounding Forst and Deidesheim, among others. Like all sweet wines from the estate, this one is released only a year after the harvest. As a result, it is beautifully ready to drink and balanced.
Well chilled, this delicious, aromatic, tropical Riesling is the perfect summer aperitif. The Armand is also ideal with refined starters such as crab with mango, sushi, or spicy Asian dishes.
