Tasting note von Buhl Kabinet
Fragrant and invigorating slightly sweet Riesling with an aroma of yellow fruit (peach) and floral nuances. The taste starts juicy and round with a light sweetness and ends fresh and aromatic. Excellent with spicy fish dishes from the oven or a chicken stew. Easily keeps for four to five years.
Description
Von Buhl is known for their dry Rieslings – 'dry wines for sweet people' is their motto for a reason.' However, a Riesling range would not be complete without a good Kabinett.
Kabinett is the lightest category of the German predicate wines. It is usually a slightly sweet wine with fresh acidity and a modest alcohol percentage. So is the Armand of Reichsrat von Buhl.
The Riesling grapes are organically grown and come from the vineyards around Forst and Deidesheim, among others. Like all sweet wines from the estate, this one also comes on the market a year after the harvest. This makes it nice to drink and in balance.
Well chilled, this wonderfully aromatic, tropical Riesling is the perfect summer aperitif. The Armand is also ideal with refined starters such as crab with mango, sushi or spicy Asian dishes.
