What is the Klare Wijn Podcast?

Klare Wijn is the name of the successful Instagram account of wine lover (and newsreader) Antoin Peeters. Recently he also makes a podcast together with his wine friend Ernstjan Overduin. In it you will hear the most fascinating stories from the wonderful wine world. Naturally, wine is also drunk, in keeping with the theme of the episode. We were allowed to select the wine for the Podcast, isn't it cool ?!

Episode 4: The Dutch wine pioneers

In this 4th podcast we talk about Dutch wine pioneers. Because it is perhaps the best kept secret in wine country. We down-to-earth Dutch have left a significant mark on international viticulture. Without the Dutch, Bordeaux might never have existed. And in South Africa they had still drunk sour stuff. From vineyards in California to New Zealand. Nowadays there are Dutch winegrowers everywhere. In this episode we will discuss no fewer than 10, from Eric Albada Jelgersma, via Ilja Gort, on to the Ponnetjes and even the Posjes. And one story is even more beautiful than the other. That is why the subtitle of this episode is: Hollands glorie, damn it! Have fun listening ...

The Morning Sun Chenin Blanc € 11.80
De Morgenzon is not only a very beautiful wine estate, but here everything is also about making quality. The vineyards for the top wines are located on the higher and cool parts of Stellenbosch between 200 and 400 meters above sea level. The philosophy of the Morgenzon is that a high quality Stellenbosch wine combines the fruit of the New World with the elegance of the Old World. This is reflected in the Morgenzon wines with a pleasant drinkability. The non-wood-ripened Chenin comes from so-called “bush vines” vineyards in Paarl. The grapes are harvested at night and early in the morning to preserve as many aromas as possible. The wine is bottled soon after fermentation.
