100% top Malbec
French, deep red wine with an aroma of black fruit and oak. The taste is powerful and intense, making this wine very good with beef, lamb and game dishes.
Top wine from the South of France
This particularly fine Cahors Expression is the top wine of the Gayraud family. It is made entirely from the local côt grape, also known as malbec. The grapes come from the oldest vines of the domain, which give a particularly low yield.
After a long maceration - for maximum extraction of colors and flavors - the wine is aged for twenty months in new oak casks. Six months of this, the current winemaker Benjamin Gayraud (with father Alain still as an advisor) applies the microbullage technique known from Madiran: carefully bubbling the maturing wine with oxygen to soften the tannins.
Château Lamartines Expression is a top wine from Southwest France that loses its reputation and image from more expensive and chic Bordeaux competitors, but certainly not in quality. In short, this beautiful wine definitely deserves a place in your wine selection!

What do we think?: | Jerry: It really is a blast of a wine. The more than 100 year old vines make the grape really good. |
