Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux

For decades, winemakers Pierre and B̩atrice Ardoin have proven that good Bordeaux can be very affordable. This beautiful red Bordeaux is made from old Merlot vines supplemented with approximately 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grapes. After fermentation, the wine is aged for six months in used oak barrels followed by twelve months in larger tanks. Fining is still done naturally and traditionally here, using only egg white. A textbook example of Bordeaux with excellent value!
