Description
The Peninsula de Setúbal wine region is located on the eponymous Setúbal Peninsula, just south of Lisbon. The Portuguese call Setúbal the mother of Portugal's wine region. This is due to its centuries-old winemaking tradition, but also because, according to many Portuguese wine lovers, the best wines in Portugal are made here. This full-bodied red wine is not aged in oak, allowing it to retain all the fruitiness and characteristics of the grape.
