definition
Markus Huber owns about 25 hectares of vineyards in the best locations in the Traisental Valley and is now part of Austria's premier league. Traisental is known for its strongly calcareous soil. In addition to white grapes such as grüner veltliner and riesling, Huber also plants the red swells. It is precisely for this grape variety that Huber is looking for plots with a high proportion of sand and loess soil. This gives the Zweigelt its pleasant fullness in taste. After fermentation, the wine matures for about 5 months in large oak casks. Climatologically, Traisental, with its cool nights and warm days, is reminiscent of Burgundy, which lies on the same latitude
