Medina Fermentado en Barrica

For the Fermentado en Barrica from Castelo de Medina, Spain, winemaker Sara Ramon selects the finest quality Verdejo from her top vineyards in Rueda. For added aroma and flavor, she adds a touch of Sauvignon Blanc. The blend then ferments and matures for six months in new, small oak barrels.


The aroma? Incredibly seductive and intense, with notes of tropical fruit, anise, vanilla, and toast. The taste is also impressive: full-bodied, powerful, and complex. A superb glass to enjoy on its own, or serve with grilled chicken, tuna, and creamy pasta, for example.
