Rocks Limoux
A fragrant French red wine with aromas of red fruit, spices, and oak. The flavor is full-bodied and spicy: excellent with poultry such as Bresser chicken, guinea fowl, or pheasant.
Haute Vallee
The Limoux region is known not only for its production of high-quality sparkling wines, but also for its excellent red and white wines. Les Bénédictins Limoux rouge is made from a carefully selected blend of Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet grapes. The region lends itself well to these varieties. Although the region is located quite south (south of Carcassonne), the average temperature in the high-altitude vineyards is much lower than in the rest of the Languedoc. This allows the grapes to ripen more slowly and evenly. The result is a wine with complex aromas and perfect flavor balance. After fermentation, this wine is aged for approximately 12 months in small oak barrels.
