Tasting note Michel Redde La Moynerie
French white wine with a minerally fresh and fruity aroma and a powerful fresh-dry taste. Delicious with fish - baked or from the oven - fine poultry such as guinea fowl or salads with goat cheese.
Thierry and his son Sébastien Redde are in the top league of Sauvignon winemakers in the Loire. They produce their wines on one of the best terroirs in Pouilly-Fumé. From the vineyard La Moynerie, Redde makes an excellent pure-bred sauvignon.
This cuvée is considered the reference quality of the winery. The wine is made from grapes from vineyards on flint (flint) and limestone-clay surfaces.
Redde works in a natural way in the cellar, which means that it does not add yeast cultures or enzymes. After fermentation, the inactive 'wild' yeast cells remain in contact with the wine for quite some time, which ensures an extra round and full flavor. The result is a top quality Pouilly-Fumé that can ripen for a long time depending on the style of the harvest.
