A spicy and refined rosé with scents of red fruit - such as raspberry - and a light spiciness. Excellent with charcuterie, meat salads and fish dishes.

Description

Arjolle follows the trend of lighter salmon-colored rosé. This winery adapted the way of making wine by harvesting the Syrah grape earlier and pressing it lightly immediately after arrival (less color extraction). Grapes of the other variety Cabernet Franc are harvested later and soak for six hours including skins before being put into the grape press.

Very distinctive for this beautiful rosé is that 30% of the harvest matures for six months in oak. During this period, the barrel is stirred regularly so that the yeast residues come into good contact with the wine. This technique (bâtonnage) ensures a round, full taste.

In the spring, Arjolle assembles this part with the syrah that has been stored at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then bottled and fitted with a screw cap to maintain freshness. A beautiful example of modern wine making in combination with old techniques. The result is a beautiful mix between the typical Languedoc and Provencal style with refined fruit scents and an elegant dry taste.
