Tasting note Cassagnoles Gascogne Gros Manseng

Freshly dry, intensely fragrant southern French white wine from the gros manseng grape variety. Delicious as an appetizing aperitif, but also great to combine with fresh salads or asparagus.

Description

This harvest will undoubtedly go down in the books in southwestern France as one of the best of the last ten years. This certainly applies to the exuberantly fragrant white wines from Gilles Baumann.

His Gros Manseng has a purely expressive scent and has nuances of pear and apricot in the taste. This wine now has a long list of numerous awards.

This crop was awarded a gold medal at the serious Concours Agricole in Paris. Owner and winemaker Gilles Baumann has a patent on making flawless white wines.

In addition to his experience, craftsmanship and - of course - excellent quality grapes, the fully air-conditioned cellar of his winery is crucial for the quality. In the always cool cellar Baumann keeps the wines crisp, literally and figuratively.
