The small Quincy wine region is located in the wine region of the Loire, slightly to the west of the famous Sancerre and Menetou-Salon, and is considered a relatively cool area. Very different from, for example, southern France. You can taste this in wine made from grapes that need more time to ripen and thereby retain more acids.
This quincy tastes fresher than a sauvignon from a 'warm' climate. Jean Tatin, owner of the Domaine du Tremblay, turns the grapes from old sauvignon vines into a mouth-watering and extremely pure dry white wine. Tasted blind, this wine can easily be mistaken for a good sancerre. Characteristic are the juicy fruit, the purity and a fresh drinkability. In short, a striking example of a classic sauvignon.
