A dry rosé with a fruity strawberry aroma and some floral notes. The palate is smooth and gently dry, finishing with a fresh, fragrant aftertaste.
Description
Segredos de São Miguel is a beautiful example of a modern, fresh and expressive rosé with the juiciness and purity of a ripe, healthy harvest and full expression of the indigenous Portuguese grapes Aragonez, Castelão and Touriga Nacional.
Bordeaux-trained Alexandre Relvas makes a beautiful wine from it, using contemporary technical knowledge and modern temperature-controlled fermentation tanks.
The vineyards are located on the Herdade de São Miguel in the Alentejo region, east of Lisbon. The grapes for the Segredos are harvested at night, thus in a cool environment, macerated with the skins for eight hours, and then fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks.
