Description
The Peninsula de Setúbal wine region is located on the eponymous Setúbal Peninsula, just south of Lisbon. The Portuguese call Setúbal the mother of Portugal's wine region. This is due to its centuries-old winemaking tradition, but also because, according to many Portuguese wine lovers, the best wines in Portugal are produced here. This highly aromatic white wine is made from various grape varieties, such as Fernão Pires, Tamaris, and Muscat. The producer uses the latest winemaking techniques. For example, the must is fermented in a cool, dry place, a prerequisite for producing fragrant wines in a warm climate!
