Château Cesseras La Livinière
Dark red French wine with aromas of dark fruit, spices, and oak. The taste is full and powerful and pairs well with hare or lamb stews. Also delicious with cheese and baguette.
From the best winemaker in the Minervois region
Pierre-André Ournac can count himself among the elite of the Minervois region with his finest red wine. The vineyard, planted with 70% Syrah grapes, is located in the Grand Cru area of La Livinière. This is the highest and therefore cooler part of Minervois, and one of the very best terroirs of the Languedoc.
Although concentrated and powerful, the wine has ripe and soft tannins and a refined freshness on the palate. This is partly due to the cool location of the vineyard and the associated long, even ripening of the grapes.
This exceptional red wine ages for approximately twelve months in small oak barrels, partly new and partly used for one to two years. This imparts a seductive, restrained oak influence. A beautiful glass for the connoisseur of characteristic Syrah-dominated wines. Outstanding Southern French quality.
