Description
Toast without alcohol? Then try this surprising Naturtalente Rosé from the Mosel, winner of the Falstaff Alkoholfrei Trophy. Not an alcohol-free wine, but – following the Scandinavian example – a sparkling tea!
Producer C. Kloss uses cloudy pear juice from orchards in the Mosel as a base and enriches it with various regional ingredients: blackcurrant leaf, green oat herb tea, peppermint tea, home-brewed kombucha, and lavender blossom essential oil. The Naturtalente owes its beautiful pink color to the addition of rosehip and hibiscus.
After the infusion, which creates an exciting, layered aroma and flavor, carbon dioxide is added, giving it a mild, refreshing fizz. Consequently, the artisanal Naturtalente Rosé has a floral, spicy, and fruity aroma, a harmonious, fresh, and complex taste, and a refined spiciness in the finish.
It is perfect as an aperitif or for toasting, but thanks to its spiciness and mild tannins, it also pairs well with light dishes. A well-deserved winner!
