Description
The famous Austrian Grüner Veltliner is a true rarity in Alto Adige. The grape is grown exclusively in Valle Isarco – the sub-region where Eisacktal is regarded as one of the most prominent producers – but has been since 1880!
Eisacktal harvests grapes from just 27 hectares of mountain vineyards at an altitude of around 500 to 800 meters. This high altitude ensures a refined freshness in the wine. At the same time, the late-ripening Grüner can age perfectly there due to the sunny location.
Once harvested, the grapes are gently pressed in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine ages briefly on the lees in these tanks. This method ensures that this Italian Grüner is delightfully fresh and juicy, while also featuring ripe fruit and a beautiful body.
Drink it as an aperitif or, for example, with cheese fondue, chicken, schnitzel, or soft cheeses. A refreshing interpretation of a well-known grape!
