Description
Crisp, fresh New World-style Sauvignon Blanc. That is, in short, the description of this pristine and expressive white wine from Laurent Delaunay. In 2005, he bought the small boutique winery in the village of Marseillette from the talented Australian Nerida Abbott and has been building up the range ever since.
The Sauvignon 'Les Fruits Sauvages' is one of his most successful wines and easily confused with an exotic New Zealand Sauvignon from the South Island.
Laurent knows the recipe for this style and quality extremely well: he harvests in the early morning, macerates the skins in stainless steel tanks before fermentation, and allows the wine to age 'sur lie' for several months. The result is a beautiful, expressive, high-quality Sauvignon.
