Information
From the local Kerner grape
Harvested in high-altitude vineyards
Wonderfully fragrant and with a full, ripe flavour

Description
The unique mountain landscape of Alto Adige is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but also a perfect place to produce superb, distinctive wines. The members of the Eisacktal cooperative have generations of experience in the region and know how to cultivate grapes of the highest quality.

The Kerner grape is originally German, but a true specialty of Alto Adige. Given its expressive character, Kerner thrives in high-altitude vineyards, in the case of Eisacktal, up to 900 meters above sea level. Here, Kerner can develop its aromas perfectly without sacrificing freshness.

In the cellar, the grapes actually need little more. Winemaker Hannes Munter keeps the vinification simple, fermenting in stainless steel tanks and briefly maturing on the yeasts in those same tanks.

It produces a beautifully pure, distinctive white wine, with intense aromas of apple and stone fruit and a wonderfully juicy, ripe, and full flavor. Kerner is delicious on its own, but also pairs wonderfully with a wide variety of dishes, ranging from pasta with seafood to fish and white meats to soft, creamy cheeses.
