Tasting note Jean Paul Brun
French red wine with the aroma of ripe red cherries and a balanced, full flavor. A long-lasting wine, delicious with spicy (meat) dishes or a fine cheese.
Description
"Ça pinote," says Jean-Paul Brun, meaning this wine is developing characteristic Pinot Noir aromas. Although made from the Gamay grape, this is a familiar phenomenon at the best Moulin-à-Vent. The winemaking method here is also classic and resembles that of a grand Burgundy. Slow fermentation, no chaptalization (enrichment of the must with sugar), and the use of natural yeasts.
Forget your preconceived notions of candy-like Beaujolais and come and experience a great wine with just 12% alcohol! This is a wonderful meal wine that also tastes excellent when young.
Authentic superior Beaujolais without candy aromas!
Wine Magazine Dissertation:
However, the wines are anything but "Parkerian blockbusters" in the form of abundant color, high alcohol, high oak, and abundant body. They excel in digestibility, lightness, and the purest grape expression.
