From DeMorgenzon from Stellenbosch
A full-bodied, fruity wine with a vibrant aroma of berries and jammy red fruit. The palate is juicy, round, and aromatic, with a fragrant finish and a touch of oak.

Walvisch Kaapse Rood is an unusual blend of Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, among other grapes. The grapes are sourced primarily from vineyards on the renowned DeMorgenzon Estate in Stellenbosch. A remarkable feature is the music played between the vines, which promotes the ripening of the grapes. Talented winemaker Carl van der Merwe crafts a delicious, juicy red wine with a smooth character from young vines. Walvisch is the name of a ship in the fleet of Dutchman Jan van Riebeeck, which docked at the Cape of Good Hope on April 6, 1652. The name Walvisch symbolizes the centuries-old bond between the Netherlands and South Africa.
