Pinot Noir from Rheinhessen

Christoph and Johannes Thörle make incredibly delicious Pinot Noir on limestone-rich soil in the northern part of Rheinhessen.

Insiders consider the two talented brothers' winery to be the most up-and-coming estate in Rheinhessen. Journalists from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Gault & Millau, and Feinschmecker, among others, are closely following developments and are giving the Thörle wines an extremely positive review.

The grapes for this wine are harvested as late as possible—often as late as late October—and picked by hand to ensure the highest possible quality. Spätburgunder is a delicate grape, and the harvest time significantly influences the wine's style. The Thörle brothers strive for finesse and an optimal balance between acidity, aromatic intensity, and ripeness.

After alcoholic fermentation, the wine matures for approximately ten months in used oak barrels. The subdued woody aroma supports the refined fruit flavors and is beautifully balanced.

A truly beautiful Spätburgunder that will appeal to many Burgundy lovers, but also a nice introduction for Pinot Noir newcomers.
