From the heart of Salento

The Squinzano Controlled Designation of Origin – named after the town of the same name – is located in the heart of Salento, between the cities of Lecce and Brindisi.

This beautiful, full-bodied red wine is made from 85% Negroamaro grapes and 15% Malvasia Nera. After alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is transferred to small Allier oak barrels. This is considered by many winemakers to be one of the most refined types of wood for aging wine.

This is where malolactic fermentation takes place, which rounds out the wine's flavor, followed by aging for about six months. The result is a very accessible, rounded flavor while retaining the characteristic freshness of the Negroamaro grape.
