A beautiful dry white wine with ripe fruit notes of apple and banana. The palate is round and fresh, with an aromatic, lingering finish.
Description
Masseria Frattasi is a small wine estate in the hinterland of Naples in Campania. Owner Pasquale Clemente cultivates indigenous grape varieties biodynamically on high-altitude vineyards. The region around the town of Benevento is chalky and volcanic. Combined with the cool climate in the vineyards, this ensures that the wines, despite their southern Italian origins, have a wonderful freshness.
Like this Coda di Volpe, one of Italy's oldest grape varieties, found almost exclusively in Campania. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 600 meters. The grapes are not harvested by hand until mid-October.
