Domaine de la Grange: While the popularity of simple Muscadet may have waned in the Netherlands over the years, the better producers remain successful. They have significantly expanded their sales, particularly in France. Nearly every good brasserie has a fine Muscadet on the menu. Crisp and dry, without oak or oiliness, the wine pairs perfectly with a wide variety of "fruits de mers" (sea fruits), such as Zeeland mussels. It also makes a wonderful aperitif.
