Blackberry, fig and smoked aromas that are well defined. The taste is silky soft and sensual, very concentrated and harmonious. Velvety soft aftertaste with blackberries and cassis to the finish.
Description
Calem Port was founded in 1859 by António Alves Cálem and has put a lot of energy into the production of high-quality port. After vinification in the Douro area, the port is aged in oak barrels in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. This Vintage 2007 Port is produced from a single exceptionally good harvest. After two years in oak barrels, the port is bottled in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. In the bottle, the port, stored horizontally and dark, becomes more beautiful with each passing year. The 2007 is excellent to drink now, but can also be kept for a few years. In general, it is recommended to drink Vintage Port after an age of at least 8 years, but a Vintage Port can easily age 50 years.
