Bordeaux Blend at its best
A smooth and refined French red wine, aged in oak, made from the vineyard's finest Cabernet grapes. It has a wonderful aroma of ripe blackcurrant fruit and refined oak notes. The flavor is full and smooth. Delicious with grilled beef.
Capt Saint Martin Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Malbec blend
For decades, winemaking duo Pierre and Béatrice Ardoin have proven that good Bordeaux can be very affordable. This beautiful red "petit" Bordeaux from Château Cap Saint-Martin is made from grapes from old Merlot vines, supplemented with approximately 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grapes.
After fermentation, the wine matures for six months in used oak barrels, followed by twelve months in larger tanks. Fining is still carried out naturally and traditionally, using only egg white. A textbook example of Bordeaux with excellent value! Classic, its refinement and accessibility make it the perfect accompaniment to many traditional French brasserie dishes.
