Description

Vermentino is Tuscany's premier white grape. When properly made, it pairs perfectly with both delicate and more pronounced Italian dishes.

The grape's quality lies more in its full flavor structure than in aromatic intensity, as you might find in Sauvignon Blanc, for example. This makes Vermentino a perfect match for refined dishes where the wine shouldn't dominate, but rather support them.

At Il Palagio, the Vermentino grapes are grown organically. Once harvested, they undergo fermentation and then mature in tank for approximately five months.



This pure Vermentino has a subtle yet beautiful aroma of ripe white fruit. This white Message in a Bottle is therefore delicious with many Mediterranean fish dishes, but also as a unique aperitif.

Villa Il Palagio has been Sting and his wife Trudie Styler's holiday home in Tuscany for over 20 years. The famous couple has completely restored the ancient vineyards and certified them organic. Biodynamics are also used throughout the entire process, from grape to wine.

The cellar has seen a significant leap in quality since the 2019 harvest, under the influence of Riccardo Cotarella. He champions a minimalist approach to winemaking, which aligns well with Sting and Trudie's philosophy of producing with respect for nature.
