Information
Classic Chablis from top wine maker Patrick Piuze
The chardonnay grapes are harvested by hand
Light, elegant style: a perfect aperitif
Can be stored for up to ten years after harvest

Tasting note Patrick Piuze Chablis

Refined dry white wine with nuances of floral and slightly fruity notes and some dairy. The taste is fresh and juicy and develops balanced with a fresh and persistent aftertaste.

Long description
Patrick Piuze may be a relative newcomer in Chablis (he started his domain in 2008), this Canadian-French winemaker is already indispensable to the elite of the Chablis producers.

What is special is that Piuze does not own its own vineyards, but purchases its grapes from various producers in the region. Only grapes from old sticks from the most beautiful Chablis vineyards are eligible for its wines.

The Terroir series is a special project: where most producers choose to blend their various vineyards, the terroir freak Piuze is focused on showing as much as possible the individual character of certain vineyards within the appellation. He therefore produces Chablis from various villages on the Chablis plateau. One of those villages is Chichée, a village just southeast of the village of Chablis.

The grapes come from lime soil and are harvested by hand, which is quite exceptional in Chablis. Fermentation proceeds spontaneously in stainless steel tanks. The wine then ripens on the yeasts, also in stainless steel. It gives a super-classic Chablis, with citrus and green apple, salty minerality and wonderful excitement. The perfect aperitif!

Drink with
Delicious wine with baked fish, poultry or slightly spicy fish dishes from the oven.
