Ruby red in color. The aroma reveals red fruit, cocoa, and chocolate, complemented by wild berries and blossom. The Niepoort Secundum Vintage Port 2000 is a ripe, impressive wine with fine acidity, wonderful concentration, and soft tannins.
Description
The Niepoort Secundum Vintage Port 2000 is made with Touriga Naçional, Tourliga Franca, Tinta Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, and Tinta Roriz grapes. The Niepoort Secundum Vintage 2000 is a two-style Vintage Port, a slightly more accessible and charming style. The vines have an average age of 70 years, and the grapes are still traditionally trodden.
