Fresh and spicy

A fresh, spicy, and fruity aroma with subtle notes of hay and ripe apple. A delicious dry white wine, it pairs perfectly with many hot and cold fish dishes or spicy salads.

The perfect accompaniment to Fruits de mers

Picpoul de Pinet is the perfect accompaniment to seafood and fish dishes in the many fish restaurants around the southern French coastal towns of Agde and Sète. This grape produces a fresh, elegant white wine that is usually bottled without any oak aging.

A few large cooperatives dominate the selection. But the artisanal, small estates like Château Font-Mars are the most interesting in terms of quality.

Owner Jean-Baptiste de Clock, who incidentally descends from a Dutch family that emigrated in 1679, cultivates approximately 50 hectares of vineyards around Mèze, the heart of Picpoul production. He crafts an archetypal Picpoul from ripe grapes with that exquisite combination of juiciness and a fine, balanced, dry flavor. Highly recommended!
