|EAN:||Pontificis Pays d'Oc Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre|
Fragrant French red wine with an aroma of fresh and candied red fruit with nuances of oak and spices. Full and smooth taste. Delicious with grill and fry dishes or a spicy cheese.
The wine magazine Perswijn recently tasted 71 Southern French rhubes and selected the red Pontificis as the wine with the best price-quality ratio. The combination of the grape varieties grenache syrah and mourvèdre with a short oak maturation gives the Pontificis a luxurious and opulent taste.
The man behind the success of this red wine is Laurent Delaunay. Besides being a professional wine maker, he is also responsible for the selection of grapes. These originate from old grape vines in the Languedoc with the famous cru La Clape and Roussillon.
The result is so good that the papal name Pontificis graces the label with a nod referring to the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape! After the maturation, the wine is bottled without filtering to preserve the maximum flavor.
