Jéroboam Château Cap Saint Martin Bordeaux
French red wine made almost exclusively from merlot grapes. The aroma is spicy and slightly matured, the taste is full and smooth. Delicious with red meat, game birds or outside of a meal.
This red Côtes de Blaye is one of the mildest red wines in the Bordeaux region. By using almost exclusively Merlot grapes, the wine is even reminiscent of a Saint Emilion or light Pomerol in style. The winemaker is Pierre Ardoin. He studied wine technique at the University of Bordeaux.
One of the main messages taught by this 'Bordeaux school' is to make especially smooth red wines according to the latest insights. The time of hard tannins that make the wine taste drying and bitter is long overdue for these 'modern' winemakers
