The Burgundy of the Mediterranean is how owner Marco de Grazia characterizes his refined mineral Sicilian wines from hillside vineyards on the northern flank of the Etna volcano. The height provides cooling and refinement in the wines.

The organic planting and the ambition to produce top quality force Marco to achieve low yields so that the native grapes have a beautiful expression. The nerello mascalese and cappuccio grapes are only harvested in October on the volcanic vineyards between 600 and 900 meters high. After the fermentation at a low temperature follows a short maturation in tanks and the bottling follows. The absence of oak aging contributes to the wonderful fruit expression of the nerello.
