|EAN:||Winter Rheinhessen Riesling Trocken|
Fragrant German white wine with a tempting aroma of ripe white fruit and flowers. Powerful and full of flavor. Original aperitif but also very tasty with sauerkraut freshwater fish or spicy Asian dishes.
Winemaker Stefan Winter gained experience in his younger years with two famous German producers Bassermann-Jordan and Keller. According to the trade magazine Vinum, he has apparently paid close attention. Because his wines convince from the first harvest in 2000 when Stefan stepped into the parental company.
His white wines now belong to the top of Germany. That fact was crowned in 2013 with the inclusion in the exclusive company of the VDP (Vereinigung Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter). The calcareous soil around the village Dittelsheim provides a fine minerality and a distinct taste.
Winter works organically but does not do it for marketing reasons. That is why he does not request certification. His 'entry' frieze is of exemplary quality and - given the prices of comparable wines - a bargain!
