Tasting note Arjolle Equilibre
A spicy white wine with aromas of fresh fruit (pear and apple) and a juicy, dry palate. A mouth-filling and accessible dry wine.
Description
This blend of "fatty" Viognier and "fresh" Sauvignon grapes produces a beautiful, balanced wine. The name Equilibre is therefore aptly chosen: both grape varieties are present at exactly 50%, resulting in a perfectly balanced wine. After harvest, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for six months on the lees of spent yeast cells, with regular stirring. This technique gives white wine a fuller flavor and greater balance. It has received numerous awards in publications including Guide Hachette and De Grote Hamersma.
