| Beautiful balance of ripeness and freshness | |

| Mild, smooth and fresh in taste |
A delicious Viognier
A fragrant and smooth southern French white wine with aromas of ripe peach and apple. The taste is mild, smooth, and refreshing. An excellent wine with many cold or hot appetizers, perhaps even with a mild chicken dish.
Laurent Delaunay
Laurent Delaunay, responsible for La Cour des Dames wines, comes from a family with a long history in Burgundy. After training as an oenologist and working experience in California, he established himself as an independent winemaker in France near Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1995. Besides specializing in high-quality Burgundies, he soon focused on selecting high-quality wines in the South of France. The Viognier grape doesn't always live up to expectations in the South of France and can be heavy and overly floral. However, Laurent Delaunay achieves a wonderful balance of ripeness and freshness. He also adds a few percent of ripe Muscat grapes, which adds extra aromatic intensity. The 2013 vintage won the Brabant Asparagus Wine Competition.
Interesting detail: the name La Tour des Dames changed to La Cour des Dames from the 2014 harvest onwards because the famous Château Latour in Bordeaux (!) objected to the use of the old name.
