A complete wine from du Caillou
Fresh white wine with a pronounced aroma of pear and fresh yellow fruit. Juicy in taste with a round development and mild aftertaste.
Known for the Chanteuneuf du Pape
Old, almost forgotten grape varieties are making a comeback and enriching the wine offer with their original flavors. For example, on the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape domain Le Clos du Caillou, old vines with Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Bourboulenc are still in the vineyard.
Often these grapes struggle to compete with aromatically strong grapes such as sauvignon blanc. Fortunately, these classics have never disappeared from the finer French gastronomy, where they are valued and non-dominant table companions in refined dishes.
Bruno Gaspard takes full advantage of modern vinification techniques to turn these traditional grape varieties into contemporary organic wines. Le Caillou blanc has a juicy taste with a wonderful freshness and is almost naturally bottled without any form of oak aging.
This dry, fragrant white wine tastes best in its youth, but lovers of ripe notes can easily keep it for up to three years after harvest. Not only a gastronomically interesting wine, but also suitable as an aperitif.
