Refined dry white wine with a complex aroma of mild citrus fruits and a light spiciness. Nice to combine with sophisticated fish dishes, such as fried sole.
The organic wines of Le Clos du Caillou are of an exceptional class and refinement. Winemaker Bruno Gaspard and owner Sylvie Vacheron know - despite the warm Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir - to bring a rare elegance into the wines. The same applies to the beautiful white wine from Grenache Blanc (40%), Clairette (35%) and Viognier grapes. The average age of the vines is forty-five years and the yield in the vineyard is limited to forty hectoliters per hectare. The grapes are harvested by hand, with a selection on the stick and a second after entering the cellar. Only the best and most healthy grapes are reserved for the Bouquet des Garrigues. The wine ripens for several weeks in stainless steel tanks, does not receive wood aging and is bottled at the end of January. This is top quality rhône.
