Masseria Frattasi Greco
A distinctive, fresh, dry white wine made from the Greco grape, one of Campania's specialties. Biodynamic.
Hubrecht Duijker calls it the "find of the month"
Masseria Frattasi is a small wine estate in the hinterland of Naples in Campania. Owner Pasquale Clemente cultivates indigenous grape varieties biodynamically on high-altitude vineyards. The region around the town of Benevento is chalky and volcanic. Combined with the cool climate in the vineyards, this ensures that the wines, despite their southern Italian origins, have a wonderful freshness.
The Greco (Greek) is a very characteristic grape variety for this region. The volcanic soil here produces a beautiful, crisp, dry white wine that Pasquale Clemente bottles without oak aging.
