Beautiful full-bodied dry white wine with fragrant ripe fruit (such as peach) and floral nuances in the aroma. The taste is soft and fresh. Excellent with beautiful fish dishes, but also delicious as an aperitif.

Top wine from Costieres de Nimes

The talented Michel Gassier from Costìeres de Nimes creates this beautifully rich and luscious Viognier with characteristic apricot and peach aromas. Grapes of such quality do not just grow on the vine. For this, Gassier often has to go into the vineyard during the growing season and cut away many buds and even grapes to limit the yield.

After the manual picking, a college vinification follows in the wine cellar with maturation on dead yeast cells and stirring them around; the so-called 'battonnage'. With a nod to the very exclusive Condrieu, Michel Gassier lets you enjoy a top wine for an affordable price.

The vineyards are located in the village of Caissargues near Château de Nages - Michel Gassier's wine company - and are entitled to the generic designation of origin IGP Pays d'Oc. Nevertheless, Michel chooses to list 'only' Vin de France on the label. With this he wants to avoid any comparison with more southern Viogniers.
