Ronco Blanchis Pinot Grigio

Characterful dry white wine with ripe fruit tones and floral nuances in the scent. The taste is round and soft and has a long fragrant aftertaste.

Beautiful white wine from Italy

Collio is one of the smallest Italian wine regions and has a great reputation, especially in the country itself, when it comes to beautiful, gastronomic white wines. The location of Collio – east of Venice, close to the Slovenian border – is special. It is a warm area, but thanks to the high location of the vineyards, there is a considerable difference in day and night temperatures. And that is extremely positive for the preservation of aromas and freshness in the grape.

Gianni Menotti has already been named winemaker of the year twice by Gambero Rosso - Italy's most prestigious wine guide.

He owns about ten hectares of vineyard and produces several white wines, of which we really liked the pinot grigio. This grape does not always have a good reputation, because thin, meaningless mass wine is also made from it in Veneto. But with a low yield in a conveniently located vineyard, it shows its qualities. The pinot grigio from Ronco Blanchis ('hill of white' because of the planting of white grapes) has a classic Collio expression with a lot of structure and ripeness, but also a subtle freshness and depth.
