Tasting note Segredos Branco
Soft dry white wine from Portugal, with an aroma of flowers, honey and light fruit. The taste sets in smoothly and softly and ends with a fresh, fragrant aftertaste. Fine as an aperitif, with cold starters with fish or with salads.
Segredos de São Miguel is a fine example of a modern, white wine. With the purity of a ripe, healthy harvest and plenty of expression of native Portuguese grapes such as antão vaz, arinto, encruzado and rabo de ovelha. Winery Alexandre Relvas is technically trained in Bordeaux. As the son of the eponymous owner he is the new generation in the beautiful company in the Alentejo, east of Lisbon. The grapes for this white wine are harvested at night and therefore cool. They soak for eight hours with the rind, prior to temperature-controlled fermentation. After a short ripening 'sur lie' and in stainless steel tanks, this fragrant, dry white wine is bottled.
