A delicious Trocken Weissburgunder
A youthful, fragrant dry white wine from Germany with the aroma of ripe apples and a soft, juicy flavor. Delicious as an aperitif but also wonderful with fresh salads, asparagus, and fish.
The brothers Christoph and Johannes
The talented brothers Christoph and Johannes Thörle cultivate the 19 hectares of their vineyard in the northern part of Rheinhessen entirely by hand. "Every vine, every grape, and every wine bears our stamp," says Christoph. "By working so intensively with the soil and the vines, we increasingly understand exactly what our vineyards need."
The Weissburgunder grapes, or Pinot Blanc, are hand-picked to ensure the highest possible quality. For optimal aromatic expression, the skins are first soaked in the grape juice for 18 hours. Fermentation then begins, primarily in stainless steel tanks, to preserve the fruity character. After fermentation, the wine rests for approximately four months on the dead yeast cells for added depth and complexity.
