Tasting note Accordini Amarone
Intense and complex Italian red wine. The scent tends to currants and plums, the taste is concentrated and soft. Really a wine to enjoy outside the meal or with a matured cheese.
The amarone is made from dried grapes that are only fermented in January. Because the grapes contain a large concentration of flavoring sugars and acids, a very powerful alcohol-rich wine is created.
After fermentation, it ripens for about twenty-four months in small oak casks and another six months in the bottle before the wine is sold. Overwhelming wine with an enormous taste concentration. Even Italians drink the wine without eating it!
Valpolicella a versatile wine region
The same wine region winemaker and the same terroir and yet five totally different wines. That is the special feature of the Valpolicella area to the east of Lake Garda in northern Italy. The Accordini winemaker family - headed by the brothers Tiziano and Daniele - is a model for the classic quality wines from the region. Through the traditional appassimento process of drying the grapes, they make the wines ripasso paxxo amarone and recioto.

Intense and complex wine. In fact, the best to enjoy after the meal, possibly with a fine matured cheese.
