Description

Friuli, the most northeastern wine region of Italy, derives its reputation in particular from its white wines. The region can boast a large number of indigenous grape varieties, such as friulano, ribolla, malvasia and verduzzo. Due to the location and history of the region, many grapes from France and Austria also grow, such as chardonnay, sauvignon, riesling and müller-thurgau.

Massimo di Lenardo (Max for intimates) made a wonderful reflection of this wealth of grape varieties with his prestige wine Thanks. It is a blend of no fewer than five different types: chardonnay, sauvignon, friulano, malvasia and verduzzo. To ensure that only the best quality grapes are used, they are harvested by hand. After pressing, part of the juice is fermented and aged in new barrels of American oak, part in steel tanks. This to create an optimal balance between riches, toast, fraiche and fruitiness.

The di Lenardo family has been involved in viticulture in Friuli since the early 1800s, and Massimo is therefore in a long tradition. It is thanks to his own efforts, but also thanks to those of his ancestors, that he can now make such beautiful wines there. Thanks is therefore not only a reflection of the potential of the Friuli region and Massimo's own abilities, but also a homage to its ancestors.

Thanks is therefore a special, exclusive white wine. A wine to open on a special occasion or with a copious meal. A wine that can already be drunk (preferably initialed in that case), but that can also easily mature for a few more years in the bottle.
